Think about how each of the sentences or phrases makes you feel as a reader. What does it tell you?

Try to work out what each phrase might mean.

Each of these sentences should have an apostrophe to show possession. Work out if the ‘owner’ is singular or plural then rewrite each sentence with the apostrophe in. For each sentence, say who the owner is and what they possess e.g. The dog’s collar. The collar belonging to the dog.

Look at the pictures of the witch. Find as many descriptive phrases as you can. Try to turn some into similes and then metaphors. E.g.

Rewrite the sentences for each exercise.
