  • Anti-Bullying Week

    Thu 21 Nov 2013
This week was Anti Bullying Week – a time when the children are reminded of the importance of being aware of bullying and being bullied. Various activities took place in the classroom, including making some excellent anti-bullying posters, and on Thursday, Mrs Railton took a special Anti-Bullying assembly. The children were reminded to be aware of all types of bullying including cyber bullying. For more information, follow the links on this website under Key Information / Internet Safety.
  • Scholastic Book Fair

    Mon 18 Nov 2013
Thank you to everyone who visited our annual Scholastic Book Fair last week. The fair ran for three days and was well supported by all year groups. There were plenty of new titles on sale as well as posters and stationery.
We sold a fantastic number of books which brought our sales total to £959:71 which gave us a commission of £573:70. We were then able to take books to that value from the book cases and put them directly into our library for the children to read. We have taken a variety of books suitable for each age group and know that the children will be excited when they see these new books on the shelves.
We are very grateful to Mr Dunsby and Miss Tindsley for giving up their free time to run the club. Without our volunteer salespeople, we would not be able to run these clubs. So, thank you to everyone who helped to contribute to this success and keep reading!!
  • Children in Need

They have given up their playtimes and lunchtimes to organise all of their events and to sell raffle tickets. They have raised a brilliant £108.58 - well done girls! Thank you to everyone who supported this event. A massive thank you must also go to Mrs Saleh and Mrs Herbert for their generous donations.
  • Shoebox Appeal

We would like to say a HUGE thank you for your amazing support of the shoebox appeal. As usual, your generous Christian spirit meant that we had a fantastic response to this appeal. All shoeboxes were picked up this morning and will soon be on their way to Europe, Asia and Africa where they will be gratefully received.
