The film crew have been setting up since 10.30am this morning and School is slowly becoming a film set! Mr Kirby and I have just welcomed the Capital One Cup on site and now we await our actors from St Mary's at 1pm. A certain goal scoring Liverpool Footballer will be arriving later...more from St Mary's Film Studio as and when things happen!
1.30pm: Nathaniel Clyne, Liverpool and England Defender is now part of Team St Mary's in the Playground Football League! The children were SO excited when he ran onto our yard. You probably heard their screams from where you were! The filming is going really well. More reporting when the opportunity arises!
5.45pm: The camera and lighting equipment is just being taken out of School. A great day! The children were AMAZING! They were dedicated and patient but most of all so enthusiastic!
3.30pm We've just come back into the classroom for indoor shots (as well as fruit and water). Nathaniel will be playing another game in a couple of minutes before photographs and autographs happen!

Thank you to all the children who took part and to their parents for allowing it to take place.
Mr Hargreaves
This half term Year 3 have been learning about mountains, volcanoes and earthquakes in geography. As part of their learning some of the children in Year 3 created their very own volcanoes at home and brought them in to share with the rest of the class. Thank you to those children (and their parents) for their creativity and enthusiasm.
Year 6 World Mapping Geography Project
Before Christmas Year 6 were set a challenge, to find out as much as they could about 6 of the 7 continents of the world. The children were given 7 weeks to create their projects, being as creative as they liked and finding out as much information as they could. When their projects were handed in we were amazed by the time and effort that has gone into them and would like to thank the children for their hard work, and their parents for their continued support. As part of the project 3 prizes were to be given out, however such was the standard of the work that we felt we couldn’t just choose 3 children.

Merci beacoup! Once again, you have been brilliant, sending in materials galore for our Mardi Gras celebration!
At break this morning, children were able to practise their language skills to order from 'Le Cafe'. On offer were croissants, pain au chocolate and crepes.
Throughout the day, children have been getting creative with each child producing a musical instrument and a mask. Madame Reardon also taught them a song in French about pancakes.
We then had a parade where every class was able to sing the song together and show their fantastic creations. A Roi et Reine de Mardi Gras were then chosen which proved a very difficult decision. Le Roi was Harry Morrison and La Reine was Ava Rose O'Neill - congratulations to you both and a huge well done to all of the children for your fantastic effort.
Thank you also to Mr Kelly for organising the whole day and Madame Reardon for teaching everyone the song, great fun was had by all!
