In Collective Worship this morning we were joined by The Rector and some of our Governors. Choir sang and told the Easter Story. We all sang Easter songs and a short play was performed about what happened on Easter Sunday. Every adult was then given a bunch of daffodils.
Thank you to the choir for the beautiful singing and to Mrs Armstrong for all of her hard work and the lovely flowers.
This afternoon, the whole school set off on our 'Walk for Gambia' in aid of sending the donated shoes to our sponsored school. With the assistance of lots of parents, grandparents and friends of St. Mary's, each class walked through the park to the Lodge house before returning to school. It was a lovely afternoon - we were certainly blessed with the weather.
Thank you to all of our helpers, it was lovely to see some old and friendly faces. Thank you to Mrs Bailey and School Council for organising the walk and for the chocolate eggs and juice upon return. Between the raffle and the walk, an amazing £225 was raised.
Today we said 'Goodbye' to Miss Nolan who moves on to the next exciting step in her life. Miss Nolan will be getting married this summer and will begin her married life living in the Lake District. We met as a whole school to sing to her, present cards from the children and gifts. The Cook, Mrs Edwards very kindly made her a lovely, gluten-free chocolate cake.
We wish you all the very best for the future, Miss Nolan. Do come back and visit if you are back in Liverpool!
