At St. Mary’s, our curriculum is designed to nurture, challenge, and inspire every child, ensuring that they develop a love of learning that will serve them throughout their lives. As a church school, our foundation for living and learning is rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, and our curriculum reflects this by fostering an environment of faith, hope, love, respect, and forgiveness.

At St. Mary’s, our curriculum is the embodiment of our Christian vision:

Rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ, and guided by the values of faith, love, respect and forgiveness, our curriculum is designed to nurture the whole child—spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially.
 

As a Church of England primary school, our curriculum reflects our belief that every child is created in the image of God and is uniquely precious. We aim to provide a broad, balanced, and ambitious curriculum that supports children to grow into confident, compassionate, and reflective learners, prepared to make a positive difference in the world.

We want every child to:

• Flourish academically through carefully planned, knowledge-rich learning.
• Live well together, learning to show kindness, respect, and understanding.
• Develop a strong sense of identity and belonging within our inclusive and loving school community.
• Be courageous advocates for justice, equality, and stewardship in their local and global communities.

Our curriculum celebrates the uniqueness of each child while ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and wisdom they need to live life in all its fullness (John 10:10).
