Walking in the light of God’s Love-Together we will succeed

Homework and Routines

There is a P.E. lesson every Thursday, children should come to school in their P.E. Kits.

Children have reading homework EVERY NIGHT. Reading should be done every night for at least 20 minutes (more would be fantastic). Children should read a variety of texts – the greater the better!

Maths homework is available online through TTRockstars. Times tables are essential and should be practised regularly. Year 4 children will sit a statutory Multiplication Test towards the end of Year 4.

Spellings are done within lessons but children can still practise these at home from the Y3/4 Spelling list or on PurpleMash. Some children may also have handwriting which should be done little and often.

Research or project work for other curriculum subjects is sometimes set.

Children may bring water in to drink but this must be in a bottle with a sports cap to prevent exercise books being ruined through spillages.

The TTRockstars password is the same one as for PurpleMash and is stuck inside the Reading Record book.
