  • Goodbye Mrs Keir and Mrs Wright

Fri 24 May 2019 Mrs Hall

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye today to Mrs Keir and Mrs Wright. Sharing memories of over 50 years of service between them both - what an achievement! Sadly Mrs Wright has been unable to attend due to family illness.

It has been a week of ups and downs, laughter and tears. This afternoon, Mrs Keir was guest of honor at the Celebration Assembly as Her Majesty Queen Keir. She was wheeled in and out on her office chair and presented all of the certificates before all of the children presented cards and memory books. We shall be sorry to see them both go and will miss them greatly.

We wish Mrs Keir a long and happy retirement and Mrs Wright best wishes for the future.

  • Book Fair

Fri 17 May 2019 Mrs Hall / Mrs Armstrong

    Summer Book Fair 2019

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our latest Book Fair, supplied by Travelling Books. We sold the marvellous total of £1022 worth of books. This means that we can now replenish our class libraries and build on our whole class reader sets.

Year 4 have been reading Cogheart and Year 6 have read Thirteen and Wonder. All of these sets have been bought through book fair commission and so it is with your support that we are able to include these quality reads within our curriculum.

A huge thank-you must go to Mr Norman Dunsby, Miss Kharis Dunsby and Mrs Caroline Guilfoyle. They all helped tremendously by running the fair on a daily basis and encouraging the children to select books which were of interest to them.

Thank you, as ever, for your continuing support.

Fri 03 May 2019 Mrs Hall
Mr Walker acquired an addition to his job description today: Duck Wrangling! A local duck seems to enjoy bringing her ducklings on a tour of the school as the same thing happened last year. Mr Walker rounded up all of the ducklings and ensured they got to the park safely.
