Remembrance
Fri 08 Nov 2024Thank you to Jamie ad Joshua Lloyd Hesp's grandad for making us this beautiful Remembrance plaque. It is in pride of place on our School Prayer Board and will be a lasting reminder for us every year.

Fundraising update
Sat 26 Oct 2024A massive WELL DONE to all of the children in Year 5 who organised and ran various events this week to raise money for Zoe’s Place and for Alder Hey.
An amazing £407.97 was raised which will give each charity £203.98. Thank you to everyone who supported these events.

Jamie Webster visit!
Wed 09 Oct 2024The whole school were stunned this afternoon when we received a very special visitor! We were having an assembly to celebrate our IQM Award when in walked Jamie Webster! Some of the Year 6 children were so surprised that they burst into tears!
Jamie is an ex-pupil of St Mary's and came to talk to the children about being nice to others, being a kind person, having respect and working hard. The children then got to ask Jamie questions before each class had their photographs taken with him.
Unfortunately, Jamie has not been well this week and has a show tomorrow so he could not treat us to a song this time. Perhaps next time?

Inclusion Quality Mark
Wed 09 Oct 2024Today Mr Harrop visited Goodison to receive our IQM (Inclusion Quality Mark)). We were assessed for this last year and are very proud to have received it - the assessor even said we should be a Centre of Excellence!
The award and IQM Bear were presented to our Head Boy and Head Girl in an assembly this afternoon.

Justyn Edwards - Author visit
Fri 04 Oct 2024The KS2 children have been buzzing all day after their visit with author, Justyn Edwards. He told us all about his books, his writing process and why reading is amazing! He baffled us with magic tricks which Mr Harrop is still trying to figure out.
Justyn then signed copies of his books for everyone that wanted them.
Thanks to families for supporting this event. A massive THANK YOU to Heather from @Reading_Rocks for organising this wonderful event and to Justyn for his time and entertainment.
