The little beasts of St Marys are worryingly good at creative writing. So worryingly good, in fact, that I might have to send the beast around in order to eliminate some of the competition. Aside from their frankly concerning levels of literary talent, it was a joy and a privilege to visit you all.
If any children would like signed and dedicated copies of either The Beast and The Bethany or Revenge of the Beast for Christmas, then I have teamed up with my local independent bookshop to offer signed and personally dedicated editions of Revenge of the Beast (https://queensparkbooks.co.uk/shop-1/p/the-beast-and-the-bethany-revenge-of-the-beast-by-jack-meggitt-phillips-signed-edition) and a book bundle of both books in the series here (https://queensparkbooks.co.uk/shop-1/p/the-beast-and-the-bethany-signed-book-bundle). Thanks again for having me and happy reading!
Today Year 3, Year 4 and Year 5 were very fortunate to have a virtual author visit and workshop with the brilliant Jack Meggitt-Phillips. He told us about writing and then we got a chance to write short stories of our own, some of which we were able to share with Jack. He then read us an extract from one of his books: The Beast and the Bethany. The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed Jack's visit, thank you Jack!

We would love to buy some new books to enhance our wider curriculum. However, due to budget constraints, this is proving to be quite difficult. We have teamed up with our #BookBuddy at www.bookwagon.co.uk to create a wishlist of books that cover our autumn term topics. If you can, could you please browse the list and purchase a book within your budget? We would be most grateful.
We are looking to improve our range of books which promote diversity. If you would like to help, please make a purchase from our wish list from @ANewChapterBks and it will be sent direct to school. Many thanks 🙏
