'Class stars' are children selected by the class teacher - it could be for extra hard work, a great attitude or achieving something individual to the pupil.

  • A piece of history!

Fri 02 Mar 2018 Mrs Hall
We have recently been sent a document which is over one hundred years old! The certificate was presented to an ex-pupil, Robert Mason, during the Great War. This has been sent to school by a member of his family. The paper is very delicate but the decoration is still quite bright. We will now have this put into a frame to preserve this piece of school history.
  • World Book Day

Thu 01 Mar 2018 Mrs Hall

Well done to everybody who participated in World Book Day today. Lots of characters were brought to life through costumes - some of which we could see involved a lot of hard work.

Children shared information about their books in class and were then able to swap books with others - a great way for stories to travel further!

Thank you once again for your support of this event.

  • Sports Award - Gold!

Fri 09 Feb 2018 Mrs Hall

Today we were awarded a gold National Games Award! When we were presented with our plaque, we were informed that this is the third year running that we have gained this award and that if we win it five times, we will achieve the platinum award!!

Thank you to all the staff for their contributions to this award but mostly Mr Kirby, Mr Moran and Mr Wilson for all their hard work and efforts to make sure that we undertake a wide range of sports and fitness activities both in and out of school.

  • Vital Signs Foundation

Fri 09 Feb 2018 Mrs Hall

Today we were very proud to present Tony and Steve from the Vital Signs Foundation with a cheque for £1000!!

Over the past year, the Vital Signs Foundation has been our chosen charity and various events have taken place to raise vital funds for an ultrasound machine. We did 'Heart Art', a fitness day, had lessons about how to keep our heart healthy, had a visit from Tony (Mr Bennett) who brought an ultrasound machine in and we had the Barn Dance.

Vital Signs came in to do a heart screening day for the whole school community. This donation will help them to purchase their own ultrasound machine instead of renting it, enabling them to offer more heart screening across the city.

Thank you for your support for all of the events which helped to raise a fantastic amount.

  • Holocaust Memorial Day

Fri 26 Jan 2018 Mrs Hall

We were very honoured to be invited to send two of our pupils to speak at Liverpool Town Hall today for Holocaust Memorial Day.

    This was part of

“I do believe, with all my heart In the natural goodness of Man, THIS I DO BELIEVE” - presentation by Alsop High School and its North Liverpool partner schools. Mrs Challoner, who accompanied the children, said they read really well.

Thank you to Mrs Challoner for escorting the children and a big thank you to Mr Bull for inviting us to speak at this extremely important event.
