Wed 08 Jan 2020 Mrs Hall

This morning we had an assembly led by Jade, Rob and Jamie from the LFC Foundation. They told us about the work they do in our local parks, running sports for whole families to get involved with.

They then played a game of Heads and Tails which was won by Mrs Armstrong!

Each class will will have the opportunity to take part in a sport session run by the Foundation.

  • Happy New Year!

    Mon 06 Jan 2020

Happy New Year to our lovely children, staff, governors and parents. May we all have a healthy and happy 2020.

We look forward today with great excitement as we welcome our new head teacher Mr Harrop into the St. Mary's family.

  • Merry Christmas

Fri 20 Dec 2019 Mrs Hall

Today we had a collective worship which reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas - the birth of Jesus. Readings were read and children sang songs from their Christmas performances.

It just remains to say a massive thank you from all of the staff for all of the wonderful, generous cards, gifts and well wishes. We hope you have a blessed Christmas and a peaceful New Year.

  • Christmas Dinner

Wed 18 Dec 2019 Mrs Hall
The kitchen elves have been very busy today preparing Christmas dinner for almost 200 children! Staff waited on the children, songs were sung, crackers were pulled and jokes were told.  Thank you to Mrs Edwards (cook) and all the kitchen staff for a lovely meal.
  • Amazing Charity Fundraising

Wed 18 Dec 2019 Mrs Hall

What an amazing achievement by some of our Year 6 girls who have been raising money for Barnardos and Myeloma.

Alix, Jasmin, Isobel, Arianne, Ava S and Abbie have been selling a range of goods and have raised an amazing £65.00 - well done girls!

  • Key Stage One Nativity

Fri 13 Dec 2019 Mrs Hall
We hope the parents and families of Key Stage One children enjoyed their nativity performances this week. A lot of effort and hard work goes into these by both the children and the staff. If you were fortunate to see it then I'm sure you will agree that once again, our children were amazing! Thank you to all staff involved.
