Open The Book
Thu 21 May 2015Open The Book visited today to continue the story of Moses. Moses askied the Pharaoh to free his people but when he refused, God sent plagues. Thank you to Open The Book for continually bringing the ?Bible alive for the children.

Judo Education
Fri 08 May 2015Today children were treated to a Judo demonstration where they took part in Judo-related activities. Children will now have the opportunity to take part in an after-school club whilst Year 1 and Year 6 will have a course of Judo lessons as part of their PE curriculum.

Travelling Books Book Fair
Thu 02 Apr 2015A very big, “Thank-you!” to everyone who came along to support our recent Travelling Books book fair. The children really enjoyed browsing along the shelves and choosing a favourite book.
It was excellent to see so many mums, dads, grandmas, granddads and friends enjoying the fair, along with the children. Your purchases raised a magnificent £800 which generated £420 of commission. This has enabled us to order two sets of classroom readers...The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett and The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame. Hopefully these classic books will be read and enjoyed by many children in school.
For the younger children we have ordered a variety of titles, including: The Pirate Cruncher;
Mr Stink and Billionaire Boy to name but a few!
Many thanks also go to Mr Dunsby, Mrs Ford, Mrs Boyd and Mrs Guilfoyle for giving up their time to run the fair and to everyone who bought a book, enabling us to promote the importance of reading for enjoyment.
We hope you get great pleasure from your new books and look forward to seeing you at the next fair.
