Reverend John visited us today with a story of a mystery hero. The hero was a friend and advisor to King Darius. Our hero prayed to God three times a day but the King's other advisors, the satraps, were jealous and convinced the King to pass a law that everyone could only pray to him. They then had our hero locked up for praying to God. - do you know who it is yet?
Our hero was then thrown in to a den of lions to die. King Darius was his friend so he prayed to God to help his friend. That night, an angel appeared and prevented the lions from eating our hero. The satraps were then thrown in instead.
Did you guess who it was? Our hero was Daniel! This story tells us about courage and trust. Daniel showed great courage and trusted that God would keep him safe.
Here are the winning cakes from the Bake Off as chosen by our guest judge from Almonds! We are so glad we did not have to choose! Hope they tasted as good as they looked! Well done to everyone who submitted an entry - what a talented bunch you are!

Pomp and ceremony is abound today as we celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen.
Our Royal pupils provided a colourful sight during Collective Worship. What a fantastic effort everyone has made! We have crowns of every shape, size and colour - thank you! Judging them this afternoon is going to be a very difficult task!
In Collective Worship we found out information about the Queen and ended with the National Anthem. We even have Royal toast for break!
We then returned to class where we completed various activities including drawing a portrait of the Queen which was judged is afternoon. Steven Spencer was the winner - well done Steven! All of the portraits will be put in an album for future enjoyment.
The whole school then had their lunch on the Junior Playground whilst the rain held off. Unfortunately, the heavens then opened so this afternoon's games had to be abandoned. We held our 'Crown Parade' in the hall where every class had their picture taken with the Queen! Tom Dixon was the winner of the crown competition - well done Tom!
Hooe you all enjoy the barbecue!
